Raymond L. “Lou” Henry
Born: September 4, 1928
Answered His Last Alarm: Feburary 28, 2009
50+ Years of Service
Lou was a past Chief as well as a Trustee of the department. Lou took his final ride was on Retired Engine 16-12 where he was laid to rest on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, surrounded by his family, friends, and his extended fire department family.
Rest in Peace Lou.
The members of the Frostburg Fire Department lost several brothers in 2007.
Firefighter Enoch "Junie" Price
Born: February 21, 1950
Answered his Last Alarm: December 13, 2007
35 Years of Service
Junie's Pride and Joy - Retired Engine 16-12
Junie purchased this Engine when the Department bought Engine 162 in 1995.
Junie could be found attending parades with this Engine throughout the area, and even used it to
transport the other brothers remembered below on their last ride, when they answered their final alarm.
As Junie would have wanted, he took his last ride on the back of Retired Engine 16-12
when he was laid to rest on December 16, 2007.

Firefighter William "Diz" Close
Born: January 31, 1917
Answered his Last Alarm: November 27, 2007
69 Years of Service
Prior to answering his last alarm, Diz was the oldest living member of the department.

Born: January 5, 1924
Answered his Last Alarm: October 11, 2007
56 Years of Service
Firefighter John "Jack" Starkey
Born: December 17, 1929
Answered his Last Alarm: April 12, 2007
